This Privacy Policy explains what information ShopAltAI (“we,” “us”) collects when you use our website and service, why we collect it, and how it's handled. ShopAltAI is a standalone product, separate from any other product we operate. By using ShopAltAI, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
Account information: your email address, password, and subscription plan.
Usage and log data: IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically to operate and secure the service.
Cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in.
Generation data: the product images, image URLs, and product information (titles, categories, and similar context) you submit through the Product Listing Generator, Alt Text Generator, Content Generator, or AI Product Optimizer, along with the content those tools generate.
Optimizer scan data:when you scan a store URL with the AI Product Optimizer, we store the URL, the ownership attestation you provide confirming you're authorized to scan that store, and the IP address the request came from.
Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) credentials:if you connect your own AI provider key, it's encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and is only ever decrypted in server-side code to make a request on your behalf — it is never shown in your browser again after you save it.
We do not sell your personal information.
We engage trusted third-party service providers and vendors to operate, deliver and improve our services — including database, authentication, and hosting infrastructure. These providers may access your information only to the extent necessary to perform their functions and are obligated to maintain its confidentiality and security.
We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
If ShopAltAI is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We'll notify you of any such change and any choices you may have.
To generate content, ShopAltAI transmits the product images and product information you submit to third-party AI providers. This is product and business content, not personal information — your account details, email and billing information are never sent to these providers.
Under these providers' API terms, data submitted via the API is not used to train their models. By using ShopAltAI you agree to be bound by the applicable provider's terms; we recommend reviewing Google's Privacy Policy. Please ensure the content you submit does not inadvertently contain personal information about individuals.
Bring Your Own Key (BYOK):if you connect your own AI provider key, your content is sent to the provider you chose, using your key, under that provider's own terms. You are responsible for their terms and any costs they charge you.
All data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). BYOK API keys are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). Access to production data is restricted to what's needed to operate the service. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
You can access, update, or request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your profile, credit history, and any BYOK key; some records may be retained briefly for legal or security purposes. You can decline non-essential cookies through your browser settings — the session cookie that keeps you signed in is required for the service to function.
If you're a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13 below.
If you're located in the European Economic Area or UK, you have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data; restrict or object to its processing; and receive a copy of it in a portable format. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.
ShopAltAI is not directed at, and not intended for use by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Our website and integrations may link to third-party sites, including the AI providers named above and the platforms you connect ShopAltAI to. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties — review their own policies before sharing information with them.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll update the “Last updated” date above when we do.
