Questions

What's the difference between the web app and the Shopify app?

The web app is a standalone dashboard that works with every platform we support — and with platforms we don't, via CSV and export. It's available today, including for Shopify stores (export a ready-to-import file, no plugin required). The Shopify app is billed on your Shopify invoice and lives inside your Shopify admin. The Shopify app is built and submitted, awaiting Shopify App Store approval, so you can’t install it yet. Get notified when it ships. Same plans, same prices, same allowances either way.

What happens when I run out of credits?

Generation stops for that module and the message tells you which allowance ran out. Alt text, product listings and content have separate allowances, so running out of one doesn’t block the others. Allowances reset on your billing date.

Do unused credits roll over?

No — allowances reset each billing cycle rather than accumulating.

How does the Product Optimizer use credits?

The audit is free and unlimited on every plan, including Start Free — it’s rule-based, with no AI involved. Fixing costs one credit per two products, drawn from your product listing allowance, however many fields each product needs.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

You can cancel any time from your account settings — no contracts, no cancellation fees, and you keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. Upgrading or downgrading to a different plan currently goes through our team — email info@shopaltai.com and we’ll sort it out. Self-serve plan changes are coming soon.
