What a credit is, where to check what you have left, and what happens when you run out.
What a credit is
One generation. One alt text is one credit; one product listing is one credit.
Your free plan gives you, monthly: 10 alt text, 5 product listings, 5 content pieces. They're tracked separately — running out of alt text doesn't stop you generating listings.
Where to check
Settings shows your plan and what's left. The generator screens show it too, just above the Generate button.
Where does my generated content live?
Generations are stored in your ShopAltAI account and appear in the listing pages there — Alt Text Listing, Product Listing, Content Listing — whether you created them through a plugin or the web app.
When you run out
Generation stops and tells you. Nothing is charged, and nothing is half-done.
The error names exactly which allowance ran out. Alt text, product listings, and content are tracked separately, so running out of one doesn't stop the others.

Do unused allowances roll over?
No. They reset each month and don't accumulate.
Does a failed generation cost a credit?
No. Credits are only consumed when a generation succeeds.
How long a generation sticks around
Generations aren't kept forever. Alt text is deleted after 90 days; product listings and content pieces after 30. Deletion is permanent — there's no recovering it afterwards, and no warning email before it happens.
Each listing page (Alt Text Listing, Product Listing, Content Listing) shows expires in Nd on every row — hover it for the exact date. Export still works right up until the moment it's deleted, so if you want to keep something long-term, export it or apply/publish it before the window closes rather than leaving it sitting in the listing.
